Lost in my own neighborhood
![]() | Currently Playing: | ![]() | Currently Reading: |
I went for a run around my neighborhood tonight. You'd think that after living here for 19 years or so, I would know this place pretty well. Somehow, I almost got myself lost. I took the little path that cuts across this field where we used to play football. The path split off at one point, and I thought I knew exactly where I was going, but when I emerged on the road again, I think I ended up somewhere where I'd never been before.. ever.
Currently listening to the new Luna Halo EP, courtesy cjl. Good stuff.
Speaking of good stuff, here are a couple things to keep you entertained:

Beware, the sniper!

Nashville Trip
Spent the weekend + a couple days in Nashville from last Thursday till yesterday for Eric and Sabrina's wedding. Great people, great times, and great memories. Congratulations!! Also got to see lots of people in Nashville for the summer. If you haven't already seen them, pictures are posted in my photo gallery. I also stole some pictures from Kenner's website and put them here. |

My latest fascination
My latest fascination: photo mosaics
In other news... I have the world's biggest bug bite on my right arm, just above the elbow. It's all swollen and huge and gross. Itches like crazy, and when I use my arm too much, it starts to hurt.
Nashville on Thursday!

Southern drawls, and such
In the radiation treatment waiting room today, there were two boys waiting for their dad and grandfather. One was 5, and the other was 8. The 8-year-old was playing his gameboy, when the 5-year-old goes up to him, trying to start a conversation. The funny thing is that the younger boy and his family came all the way from Georgia for treatment, and he had one of the thickest southern accents I've ever heard. (And believe you me, I've heard quite a few in my time). Anyway, the older boy tried really hard to understand what the Georgia boy was saying. Everyone in the waiting room was captivated by this unfolding scene. Well, by the time the younger boy had to leave, they were great friends. The end.
30 bucks for a tank of gas. Woot.

Let's try this again
Over the past couple days, I've sat down and started writing here, but then either got distracted, or reread what I wrote and decided it was stupid. So here we go again...
Major asparagus pee today. That was one of the highlights of the night.
Also, the Amazon shipment came in today, so we now have a wireless network up and running! Pretty exciting... especially since I don't have a laptop.
This CD is awesome. Except... "Grits f/ Jadyn Maria"?? More like Jadyn featuring Grits. Either way.. good stuff.
Oh.. if anyone cares, my old blog is back up at http://jasontan.digitalrice.com/blog.asp, and the really old blog is still at http://people.vanderbilt.edu/~jason.tan/blog.html. Ok.. so that was just a shameless way to boost my Google rating.
And that concludes yet another pointless blog entry. I almost deleted it... but, I obviously didn't.. since you're reading it. Well, actually, maybe I... ahhhhhhh! It's kind of weird if you think about it. Ok, I think I'm just weird.
Oh! One more thing... West Wing reruns on Bravo! I think I may need to bust out the VCR...
